Sunday Funday! Well… not really. 😂 Today started with the always exciting (insert sarcasm here) grocery shopping trip. Once I got home, I gave Daisy Mae a much-needed bath. She looks all shiny and clean again!
After checking a few chores off my list, Bella and I finally slowed things down and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon together. Since the temperatures are climbing and a heatwave is headed our way, I pulled out Bella’s pool. She happily splashed around and cooled off while I grilled dinner. Of course, she took her job as my official sous chef very seriously and stood guard over the grill the entire time, making sure nothing “accidentally” fell her way. 🐶💦🍔
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of today was getting our incredibly heavy air conditioner installed in the window. I had hoped someone would be available to help because it’s honestly much too heavy for me to lift by myself, but everyone was busy. After plenty of struggling, determination, and maybe a few choice words, I somehow managed to wrestle it into place. It’s definitely not something I should be doing alone, but at least we’re ready for the upcoming heatwave! 💪❄️
Tonight, Bella and I are winding down with a movie and a quiet evening at home. Tomorrow will be another busy day as I take my dad to his pre-op appointment for his knee replacement surgery, which is now just two weeks away. Here’s hoping everything goes smoothly and that we’re one step closer to getting him back on his feet.
For now, it’s time to kick back, enjoy the cool air, and soak in the last few peaceful hours of the weekend. ❤️
