Today feels like the gentle closing chapter of my Spring Break week, the kind where you both exhale… and realize the alarm clock is creeping back into your life like a very determined squirrel. 🐿️⏰😅
This week was packed in the best kind of way. Spring cleaning took over like an enthusiastic tornado with a checklist. 🧹🧼 Every corner got attention, every “I’ll deal with that later” finally met its fate. I also carved out time for reading, crafting, and just simply slowing down a bit, which honestly felt like hitting a much-needed reset button. 📚🧵🕯️💕

Of course, it wasn’t all rest and cozy vibes. I had a full lineup of orders to complete and spent time creating new designs too. 👕🎨✨ My brain has been living in a colorful swirl of ideas, fonts, and “what if I try THIS instead?” moments. Creativity never really takes a vacation, even when I do. 💡🌈
On the health side of things, I also had an appointment this week to try and get some answers about the ongoing neck and throat pain and irritation I’ve been dealing with. 🩺😣 After a CT scan, the ENT said everything looks good there, which is a relief in one way, but still leaves me in the “okay… so what IS this?” stage. 🤷♀️ They did mention some tonsil stones, but said that’s pretty normal.
For now, I’m being treated as if it could be acid reflux for the next three months. 💊⏳ I’ve started a new medication and I’m giving it time, even though I’m still pretty convinced this doesn’t feel like reflux to me. The irritation has been pretty constant, and I guess this is one of those wait-and-see chapters that nobody really enjoys living through. 💭
So yes… it’s shaping up to be a long three months of trial and patience. One of those stretches where you just keep going, keep observing, and hope things start to make more sense along the way. 🙏💛
But today still found its cozy silver lining. ☁️✨
For Crockpot Sunday, I made BBQ spare ribs using sugar-free BBQ sauce, and they turned out absolutely delicious. 🍖🔥😋 Tender, flavorful, and very much “worth the wait” energy. I also boiled up some sweet potatoes on the side, which rounded everything out into a simple, comforting meal that felt like a warm hug on a plate. 🍠🥰

Tomorrow it’s back to work. 📚🍎 Back to routines, schedules, and all the usual moving parts. I really did enjoy my break, even without going anywhere fancy like many others did. No tan here tomorrow… just a well-rested soul and probably a travel mug of coffee in hand while I try to remember what day it is. ☕🤣
Here’s to easing back into reality, one crockpot meal and deep breath at a time. 💫💖
