Today has been one of those dreary, gray days where the sky just canโt seem to shake its mood โ๏ธ๐. The rain came down steady, and the thunder rolled through like an uninvited guest who refused to leave โ๏ธ๐ฉ๏ธ. Poor Bella has been beside herself all day, trembling at every rumble ๐ถ๐. It breaks my heart seeing her so scared, and sheโs been glued to me for extra comfort ๐ค๐พ. Days like this remind me how much our pets look to us to feel safe ๐ซถ๐.

Since the weather wasnโt giving us much of a choice, it turned out to be the perfect setup for Crockpot Sunday ๐ฒโจ. I decided to throw together a little โItalianโ chicken creation of my own ๐ฎ๐น๐. I layered seasoned chicken breasts on the bottom, added chopped red potatoes on top ๐ฅ, and poured a bottle of Aldi restaurant-style Italian dressing over everything ๐ซ. Then I let the crockpot work its magic on low for seven hours โณ๐ฅ. By mid-afternoon, my house smelled absolutely incredible ๐คค๐ก. Thereโs something about a slow-cooked meal on a rainy day that just feels like a warm hug from the inside out ๐ฅฐ. It was simple, comforting, and exactly what today called for ๐.
I also spent some time in the kitchen baking a loaf of artisan bread for my parents ๐๐ฉโ๐ณ. Iโll be taking my dad to a doctorโs appointment tomorrow morning, so Iโll bring it along then ๐๐. Each loaf I make feels a little better than the last ๐, and this one looks (and smells!) especially good ๐๐. Thereโs something so satisfying about watching that dough transform into a beautiful, crusty loaf โจ๐.

The rest of the day was slow and quiet ๐๏ธ๐. A little napping ๐ด, a little reading ๐, and trying to push through the soreness in my neck and throat thatโs been bothering me ๐ฃ. Some days are just tougher than others, and today was definitely one of them ๐ญ. Iโm really looking forward to my follow-up with the ENT and hoping for some answers soon ๐ค๐ฉบ.
On a brighter note, I do have a little garden win to share! ๐ฑ๐ผ If youโve been following along, you know I planted garlic for the first time this past fall ๐ง๐. Itโs been too wet to walk out and check on it up close ๐ง๏ธ๐ข, but from my bathroom window this morning, I spotted itโtiny green shoots pushing up through the soil! ๐ฑ๐ My little baby garlic plants are officially here, and it made my heart so happy to see that bit of life on such a gloomy day ๐ฅน๐ฟ. Itโs a reminder that even when everything feels gray and muddy, something good is quietly growing ๐๐ซ.

Hereโs to another busy week aheadโand hopefully a little more sunshine mixed in ๐ค๏ธ๐ท๐.
