Holy Wind, Batman! A Very Blustery Weekend

Holy wind, Batman! The wind today has been absolutely brutal. The kind of wind that makes you peek out the window every few minutes just to make sure your house is still firmly planted where it belongs. At times it honestly feels like the whole place might just lift up and float away.

Poor Bella has been having none of it. The wind has her completely spooked, so she has spent most of the day hiding out and keeping a very low profile. Apparently strong gusts are not part of her preferred Sunday plans.

This weekend has been pretty jam packed for me. I had Friday off, but not for relaxing. I had two different appointments as doctors are still trying to figure out why I’ve been dealing with ongoing neck pain. This has been going on since before Thanksgiving, which feels like forever at this point. They had me get a CT scan with contrast on Friday in hopes that it might give some answers. Now I’m just waiting to hear back on the results and hoping they can finally pinpoint what’s going on.

Saturday was another full day. My morning started early with several hours in the craft room working on orders. Right now I’m in full Easter basket customization mode while also finishing up some shirt orders. The craft room has definitely been getting a workout lately. Later in the day we headed out for a birthday lunch to celebrate my brother, which was a nice break in the middle of all the busy.

Today, even though it’s Sunday, there was no Crockpot Sunday. Shocking, right? Instead, I made a Shepherd’s Pie for dinner, and it turned out absolutely amazing. It was the perfect comforting meal for such a blustery day, and the best part is I now have plenty of leftovers ready for lunches this week.

Shepherd’s Pie! Yummy!

It has been a bit of a rough day pain-wise with my neck. Even though I probably should have been relaxing, I still spent about four hours in the craft room finishing the remaining basket orders and working on a few other projects. I did make sure to slow down this afternoon and squeeze in some reading time, which was a nice little escape.

Relaxing in progress

Now tonight the plan is simple: relax, watch some TV, and give the heating pad a chance to work its magic on my neck.
And just like that, another busy weekend wraps up… with a brand new busy week already waiting around the corner.
