This weekend felt like one of those whirlwind ones where you blink and suddenly it’s Sunday night already. Sometimes I really wish weekends came with a bonus day just to recover from all the things we try to squeeze into them.
Today started off with a little kitchen prep. I put a turkey breast in the crockpot to cook throughout the day and mixed up a loaf of bread so it could rise while I tackled the rest of my to-do list. The house already smelled cozy before the day really even got going.

A big part of the day was spent in my craft space printing the designs for the customized Easter baskets I’m making this year. Yesterday was my big design day, creating all the different options, so today was about getting everything printed and ready for the next step. Next weekend will be heat press time when I finally get to press the designs onto the baskets. I always love seeing the designs come to life at that stage.

In between working on other things this afternoon, I managed to bake the homemade loaf of artisan bread. There’s something so satisfying about pulling a warm loaf out of the oven. It turned out delicious, and the turkey breast from the crockpot was pretty tasty too. A productive day in both the craft room and the kitchen.
Now as the evening winds down, I’m hoping to finish the book I’m currently reading and settle in for a little relaxation before the work week begins again.
Here’s to another productive weekend… even if it went way too fast.
