Happy Gold Medal Sunday! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ’

Bella and I made sure we were up bright and early this morning so we wouldnโ€™t miss a second of the USA menโ€™s hockey team bringing home the gold. Watching United States men’s national ice hockey team win was such an exciting way to start the day, and it definitely set a celebratory tone for our last Sunday of vacation. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿพ
The rest of the day was intentionally slow and restful as I get ready to head back to work tomorrow. Unfortunately, my neck and throat pain decided to make a comeback even harder then all week, and itโ€™s been stubborn enough that even the prescription ibuprofen isnโ€™t touching it. ๐Ÿ˜ž It has been a rough week with the pain.ย  Iโ€™m very thankful I already have my ENT appointment scheduled for Thursday. Having that on the calendar feels like a small light at the end of the tunnel. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธโœจ
In true Crockpot Sunday fashion, I made chicken โ€œpotpieโ€ for dinner. The house smelled amazing all day long, the kind of warm, savory scent that makes winter feel a little more bearable. ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿก I decided to bake homemade biscuits to go with it, though I suspect my baking powder has seen better days because they didnโ€™t rise much. ๐Ÿ˜… Still, they tasted good, and honestly, thatโ€™s what counts. ๐Ÿงˆ๐Ÿฅ

Tonight Iโ€™m soaking in these last few quiet hours of vacation, curled up with Bella and trying to stretch the cozy feeling just a little longer before the alarm clock returns to duty. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ“š
