Today was the definition of a lazy Sunday ๐ด๐. I didnโt really do much of anything, and honestly, that was the plan. I spent time reading, napping, and listening to my body instead of my to-do list ๐๐. I even took a glorious two-hour nap this afternoon โฐ๐. Clearly, my body needed it, and I wasnโt about to argue.
It wouldnโt be Crockpot Sunday without something delicious cooking away in the kitchen ๐ฏ๐. Todayโs recipe was Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs, and of course I had to tweak it a bit. I added peppers and onions ๐ซ๐ง
, and oh my goodnessโฆthe smells coming from the crockpot were absolutely mouthwatering ๐คค. I paired it with some steamed broccoli ๐ฅฆ because balance matters. Naturally, Fitness Coach Bella insisted on taste-testing the broccoli first to make sure it was safe for me to eat ๐ถ๐. She takes her job very seriously.
We also managed to get two decent walks in today ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐พ. The sun was shining โ๏ธ, and it actually felt a little warmer outside. Thereโs just something about sunshine that makes everything feel better. It lifts the mood, softens the day, and makes me believe that maybe spring is on its way ๐ฑ๐ผ. Okay, probably not yetโฆbut please donโt burst my bubble. Iโm enjoying the thought.
Tonightโs plans are simple and perfect ๐. Bella and I will be snuggled up on the couch ๐๏ธ๐พ, binge-watching Bridgerton Season 4 ๐ญ๐บ, wrapped in blankets and ending the day exactly how it should end. Cozy, calm, and content.
Sometimes doing โnothingโ is exactly what we need ๐โจ
