Happy Crockpot Sunday 💕

It has been

an extremely long and exhausting week. I am still battling intermittent neck pain and overwhelming fatigue. After playing phone tag with my doctor most of the week, they’ve finally ordered bloodwork to check for possible infections or mono. I’m grateful that steps are being taken, but I’ll be honest—I just want answers, and I want the pain to go away.
Today has been especially rough. The swelling is painful, I’ve felt chilled all day, yet I have no fever. It’s frustrating not knowing what’s going on with my body, and even more frustrating feeling like rest doesn’t fully touch the exhaustion.
This weekend, I really tried to listen to my body and rest as much as possible. I did manage to take down and put away the Christmas decorations—always a bittersweet task. I truly miss the soft glow of the lights on the tree. There’s something comforting about them that makes winter feel a little warmer.
One bright spot today was Crockpot Sunday. I made a delicious chicken fajita meal in the crockpot, and it was exactly the kind of comfort food I needed after such an achy day. Even better, I portioned out the leftovers for lunches this week, which feels like a small but meaningful win and one less thing to worry about.

No tortillas, just the filling with plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

For the rest of the night, my only plan is to snuggle up with Bella, turn on the TV, and rest—if I don’t fall asleep first. Sometimes that’s all you can do, and tonight, that’s enough. 🐾💕
Here’s hoping the coming week brings answers, relief, and healing.
