Crockpot Sunday… Without the Crockpot

Yet another Crockpot Sunday

has come and gone without me actually touching my crockpot 😂. With Thanksgiving just days away and a short work week ahead, I knew my fridge didn’t have room for extra leftovers. So instead of my usual slow-cooked meal, I whipped up a hearty meatloaf and roasted a mashed potato squash—and honestly, delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it! 😋🍽️

This entire weekend has been a whirlwind. Friday night was spent placing supply orders for a large batch of shirts I need to make 👕✨. Then yesterday, I finally dove into applesauce-making mode 🍎. I planned to use the apple peeler I ordered, but of course…it never arrived 😡. Thankfully a friend let me borrow hers, because peeling by hand isn’t happening with my arthritis. Between the borrowed peeler and my trusty food chopper, the process was so much easier. By the end of it all, I had made and canned 19 pint-size jars of applesauce! 🫙❤️ And no—I don’t eat it all myself. My parents stay stocked all year thanks to my applesauce marathons!

Yum!

Today was all about crafting 🎨🖌️. I worked on an order for eight ornaments and tinkered with some Christmas projects I’ve been wanting to start 🎄✨. It’s been a busy weekend, but a productive one—and that’s always the best feeling.

This coming week will be just as full as I prepare to host Thanksgiving this year 🦃🏡. I’m already trying to defrost the 25-pound turkey I bought. His name is Tator (yes, I name my turkey), and he barely fits in my kitchen sink 🤣. I can’t wait to cook him up and serve him to my family.

Tator chilling in my sink!

For now, though, Bella and I are winding down and trying to relax a bit before the week ahead 🐾💛.
