Well friends, the heat is back — for now! How long it decides to stick around is anyone’s guess. When I got home to wait for the service man, it was a brisk 54 degrees inside my house. Not exactly the cozy welcome I was hoping for! 🥶

After some tinkering and testing, the heating guy gave me the news no homeowner wants to hear: my boiler system is “hanging on by a thread.” 😬 Apparently, it’s around 50 years old, and like any classic car 🚗, it’s now at the stage where the cheap fixes are gone and the expensive parts are just waiting to fail — starting at about $700 a pop. 💸

And if I have to replace the whole thing? Oh, just a casual $8,000. 😩 As a single-income household 💪, I definitely don’t have that kind of money lounging around in my bank account. And to make things even better, the company doesn’t offer payment plans. 🙃

So, looks like it’s time to sell more crafts 🧶, cut back where I can ✂️, and get busy saving 💰. Maybe I should make a candle that smells like “Warm Radiator” — think anyone would buy it? 😂🕯️

For now, I’m crossing my fingers (and toes!) 🤞🦶 that my trusty old boiler hangs in there a little longer. Please send all the positive vibes, prayers, and maybe some spare heat my way! 💜🔥
