The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Today was such an exciting day — I finally got to share my mid-month reading total with my 5th graders! 🤩 Before revealing the number, I had them guess first (because who doesn’t love a little suspense? 😉). Once I shared my total, I hung up a few new posters to keep the momentum and excitement going strong! 💪📖

One of my students even got to share her total — her classmates nominated her because she’s the biggest reader in the room. She’s already read over 1,000 minutes this month! 😲👏 I definitely have my work cut out for me keeping up with her!

But the best moment of all came when the classroom teacher asked, “Who’s been keeping up with their October reading minutes?” and every single hand shot up in the air! 🙌 My heart just about burst right out of my chest! 💖 Seeing their excitement and commitment reminded me exactly why I do this — I’m making a difference and inspiring young readers every day. 🌟

That joy carried right on home with me — I curled up with my book and read for 4 hours today, finishing Book #4 for October and Book #52 for the year! 🎉📚

Feeling proud, grateful, and so full of bookish joy tonight. 🥰💫
