πŸ“š Me vs. 54 Readers: The Ultimate October Challenge! πŸŽƒβœ¨

If you read my blog the other day, you know I put out a challenge to one of my 5th grade classes of 20 students: try to beat my total minutes read in October. Well… that challenge has taken on a new twist! πŸ˜²πŸ“–

It’s no longer just one classβ€”it’s THREE! Now I’m competing against a total of 54 students who are working together to accumulate more reading minutes than me this month. And let me tell you, they are all in! Every morning they stop by to ask how many minutes I logged the night before, and their excitement is contagious. πŸ˜πŸ“š

Today, while I was away on a 4th grade field trip πŸšŒπŸ‚, the 5th graders took it upon themselves to create a chart for the hallway to track our progress. πŸ“πŸ“Š I absolutely love how seriously they’re taking this! Honestly, I’ve already won in the best way possible: I’ve got them fired up about reading. πŸ™ŒπŸ’‘

Seeing their smiles when they talk about beating me just makes my day. πŸ’• Of course, let’s be real hereβ€”54 of them versus 1 of me means I have a serious challenge ahead. πŸ’ͺπŸ˜… But you better believe I’m going to give it my all! Win or lose, this little competition has already sparked something wonderful. πŸŒŸπŸ“–
