Happy Crockpot Sunday! šŸ„˜

Today was one of those days where my to-do list felt a mile long, but my body had other plans. I still needed to mow the lawn, but it just didn’t happen. Honestly, I felt like I was hit by a truck—aching from head to toe. After such a busy week, I think my body finally said, ā€œNope, time to slow down.ā€ And that’s exactly what I did. I crossed off a few things from my list, but the rest will get done tomorrow, Tuesday, or maybe even next weekend. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and give yourself grace. šŸ’›

For Crockpot Sunday, I tried something brand new! A sweet friend, Jackie, gifted me some HUGE spaghetti squashes, so I decided to experiment. I opened up a couple jars of my homemade sauce, chopped up the last of my garden veggies, browned some ground turkey, added seasonings, and then tossed in the spaghetti squash. It cooked low and slow all day, filling the house with the most heavenly smell. šŸ…šŸ§„

The verdict? The flavor was great, but the squash turned out a little overcooked and mushy. šŸ˜… It’s still tasty (and I’ll definitely enjoy it), but I think next time I’ll stick to roasting it in the oven—or maybe just shorten the crockpot cook time. That’s the fun part of experimenting, though… you never know until you try!

Tonight, Bella and I are curled up on the couch, taking it easy. She always knows when I need extra rest. šŸ¾šŸ’¤
