πŸ“š Inspiration in the Classroom βœ¨

Today, as I sat curled up with my current book πŸ“–, I found myself thinking back to a conversation that happened in two of the classes I work in πŸ‘©β€πŸ«. The students are assigned a monthly reading calendar πŸ—“οΈ where they need to log between 200 and 250 minutes of reading.

That made me stop and thinkβ€”how many minutes do I read in a month? πŸ€” Tonight alone, I read for 120 minutes ⏱️ without even realizing it. Maybe I’ll complete a calendar of my own just to see what my total would be! My hope is that by sharing my love of reading ❀️, I can inspire my students to discover the same joy and escape in books that I do.

Alongside reading, I also started a writing journal πŸ“” as an example for another assignment they had. The directions were to decorate it with all the things that make you happy 🌸✨. Well… let’s just say I ran out of room on my covers because there were so many things I wanted to include! πŸ–ŠοΈπŸ’πŸ’–

It’s my hope that the students will grow to love writing ✍️ as much as I do. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll stumble across one of their blogs 🌐 and smile 😊, remembering when it all began with a classroom assignment. You never know what little spark today might inspire in someone’s future πŸŒŸπŸ’‘.
