The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

So, I FINALLY have a good update to share on two fronts—my ongoing battle with the specialty pharmacy/insurance and our bee situation!

First, the eye drops. 💊👀 What a ride this has been. My insurance denied the prescription my doctor wrote—not once, not twice, but THREE times. 😤 The reasoning they gave? Honestly, it made zero sense and was beyond frustrating. Thankfully, there’s a program that allows me to pay just $30 for the drops, and after weeks of back-and-forth, I was finally approved. 🙌

Drumroll, please… 🥁 I officially have my drops! I took my first dose today. The plan is every 12 hours for the next six weeks. 🤞 Fingers crossed this finally helps my eyes (and my poor cheeks). By the end of the school day, the soreness from my glasses pressing against my skin is almost unbearable, so I’m hopeful this will bring some relief. 💕

And in other happy news—WE ARE BEE FREE! 🐝🚫 After weeks of buzzing chaos, the porch is finally safe again. Today we were officially allowed back out there, and Bella could not have been happier. 🐶 She reclaimed her porch “throne” 👑 like the little queen she is, tail wagging the whole time. 💛
