The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Well, I guess the spraying of the bees didn’t work last night. 😦
I spent the whole day swatting and killing over 30 bees in my front reading porch. It was exhausting and honestly a little nerve-wracking. Thankfully, I had mentioned the problem to my neighbor when they stopped by with some homegrown tomatoes 🍅 (yum!). As it turns out, they’ve been battling bees too—two nests at their house! Her husband is going to come over tonight and spray for me again. 🤞 Hopefully this time does the trick, because these bees are aggressive!

For now, Bella and I are avoiding the porch 🚪. I pulled the screens out, shut the windows, and closed the connecting door to the living room. Part of me worries the nest might be in the wall, which makes me a little uneasy.

Of course, Bella offered to take on bee patrol duties 🐶🦸‍♀️, but I told her she’s better suited for sunbathing. 😂☀️🐾 She happily agreed and stretched herself out on the back patio, enjoying the warm rays like the little diva she is. After that, we curled up together, ready to watch a movie 🎬🍿.

I can’t help but feel grateful for the kindness of neighbors who step in when you need it most. 🥰 Hopefully tomorrow brings a bee-free porch!
