Today was day 2 of being back to work, and I’ll admit—it was a little easier to get moving this morning. But leaving Bella? Still just as hard. 💔

Once I got to school, I focused on organizing my desk. Since I switched positions and moved to a new room this year, there was plenty to do. Once I set up a few photos of Bella and me, the space felt so much more like mine—and instantly more comforting. 🐾❤️
My main task today was tackling my schedule, which meant coordinating with seven different teachers. That was quite the puzzle! But after a lot of back-and-forth, I think I finally have it figured out 🤞—at least for now.

When I got home, though, the battle with the specialty pharmacy continued. I spent another 30 minutes on hold with the eye doctor 🤬 only to hear the same frustrating news: my insurance has denied the prior authorization for my eye drops three times now. Monday will mark three full weeks since my appointment, and I still don’t have the drops.
In the meantime, my eyes and cheeks ache all day, and wearing my glasses only makes it worse—but of course, I need them to see clearly while teaching. The worst part? The insurance company’s reason for denial is that I “didn’t see an eye doctor.” 🤦♀️ I mean…hello?? The doctor who prescribed the eye drops IS an eye doctor! It’s like a bad joke at this point.

The doctor keeps appealing. I keep calling. The insurance company keeps stonewalling. Honestly—it’s exhausting and so frustrating. Insurance companies really do suck sometimes.
But at the end of the day, I came home to Bella’s happy tail wags and snuggles, and that made all the difference. 💕 No matter how stressful work or insurance battles get, she always finds a way to remind me what really matters. Here’s to hoping for some progress next week—both with my schedule at work and with this never-ending insurance fight.
