A Day on Our Own Time ✨

Today was one of those days where I completely ignored the clock ⏰ and just let things happen at their own pace. No schedule, no rushing — just going with the flow.

Bella and I enjoyed our morning walk 🐾, and afterward, I treated myself to a wonderful cup of coffee ☕. Before doing anything else, I decided I was going to finish book #40 of the year! 📚 It was a quick read — just a little over two days! James Patterson is one of my all-time favorite authors, and his books hook me every single time.

This afternoon I switched gears and worked on some candles 🕯️. I recently picked up a fragrance oil that smells exactly like Fruit Loops cereal, so of course, I had to make a cereal candle! 🥣🍋🍊🍇 Now it’s just a waiting game while it cures. If it burns well, I’ll definitely be making more. I even have the little cereal pieces ready, though I still need to tweak the coloring so they look more like the real thing.

Made with love, a little wax, and a whole lot of nostalgia 🕯️🥣 Who else lived on Fruit Loops as a kid? 💕
EXTRA Fruit Loops!

Tonight was a bit of a struggle — my eyes have been really sore, along with my cheeks 😣. I tried calling the specialty pharmacy, but of course, they’re closed on Saturdays 🤬. The doctor said I’d hear back in a couple of days, but it’s been almost a week with no contact. Very frustrating.

Still, Bella and I managed to spend a short but sweet 20 minutes at the fire pit 🔥. She was a bit anxious, so we didn’t stay long, but it was nice to enjoy the crackling fire and a little fresh air.

She wanted to sit by Momma!

Now it’s time to settle in, rest, and relax for the night. 🌙✨
