A Special Date with Dad ❤️🏈

Today was one of those rare and precious days I’ll hold close to my heart for a long time. I got to take my dad on a date—something we don’t get to do often—and it was so special.

We’re both big Buffalo Bills fans, and I was lucky enough to snag tickets to the Return of the Blue and the Red Practice. We went together last year and had an absolute blast, so I was really hoping we could go again this year. But with Dad’s knee replacement surgery less than a week away, I wasn’t sure it would be possible. Walking that far just wouldn’t have worked.

Waiting to go in!

Thankfully, a dear friend came through and lent me a wheelchair—and because of that small act of kindness, I got to make another amazing memory with my dad.

From the second we arrived, we were smiling. We enjoyed a delicious burger for dinner while we waited for practice to start, and once the players started making their way out to the field, we were both craning our necks trying to spot jersey numbers and call out our favorite players. I forgot my glasses, so that turned into a funny little challenge of its own. 😂

Yummy Burger!

But the highlight for me? Seeing the pure joy on my dad’s face. He was clapping, smiling, and even doing the wave with the crowd! In that moment, he wasn’t thinking about surgery or recovery—he was just having fun, soaking it all in.

Getting to share that time with him, especially right before a big surgery, meant more than I can say. These are the kinds of moments I’ll tuck away in my heart forever.

Today wasn’t just about football. It was about connection, laughter, and love.
And I’m so grateful for every second. ❤️💙 #GoBills
