Today brought a chilly, steady rain that didn’t let up until late afternoon. But honestly, it was the perfect excuse to stay cozy indoors and dive into one of my favorite things—crafting! Bella clearly agreed because she spent most of the day snoozing on our bed, completely unbothered by the weather. 🐶💤
The only break in our cozy routine was when my brother stopped by to help with a long-overdue project—my storm door. Turns out, they don’t make in-swinging storm doors anymore, so replacing it wasn’t an option. But with some teamwork and a little DIY spirit, we cleaned it up and gave it new life! He was able to remove the broken glass pieces and the old track. There were missing brackets and random shards before, but now that they’re gone, it’s actually looking so much better! 🙌 Take a look!👇

Still on the to-do list:
✔️ Fix the screen
✔️ Get new handles
✔️ Have a plexiglass window made
✔️ Maybe a fresh coat of paint this fall 🍁
Once he headed out, I jumped right back into crafting mode! I made:
🎯 Two Buffalo Bills wind spinners (one for me, one for my brother!)
🛋️ Two pillow shams for the living room
🍂 A little Fall décor for the house
🧼 A cute new dish towel
✨ Three pairs of earrings
🧶 Plus some other fun little projects!

I also took a little time to whip up some eggshell fertilizer for the garden. I’ve been collecting shells for months—finally dried them in the oven for 30 minutes, let them cool, and crushed them into powder. Super simple, eco-friendly, and the garden LOVED today’s rain! 🌱💦 I’ll hold off on fertilizing until Sunday though—want to give the soil a little time to dry out before I add anything extra!

Now it’s time to put my feet up, sip on some iced tea 🍹, and get lost in my current book 📖. Days like this remind me that sometimes the best moments come from slowing down and letting the rain set the pace.
