A Day of Change 🌿📦🚪

Today was all about change—and let me tell you, I don’t always handle change well 😬😭. But ready or not, it came knocking in more ways than one!

My morning started at school 🏫, where I packed up my desk. After 8 years in my little “home” classroom, I’m stepping into a new role as a floater 🚶‍♀️📚. That space has held so many memories, lessons, laughs, and challenges—it felt really bittersweet 💔 to pack everything up. I’m excited for a new adventure 🌈, but also grieving the comfort of what I’ve known. Change… she’s tricky like that 😅.

📦 Eight years of memories, packed into cardboard.
Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it… but here’s to new chapters, fresh starts, and the courage to embrace change.
My home for 8 years.

Next Stop: Home Depot… or Not 😑🛠️🚫

After school, I made a pit stop at Home Depot 🧡 to look into replacing the door to my side “porch.” The current storm door is old, beat up, and honestly, hanging on for dear life 😂🚪💀.

Well, the trip didn’t exactly go as planned 🙄. The man working in the door department looked at me like I had two heads when I explained that my storm door opens inward 🤷‍♀️➡️. He insisted they don’t make those, and I tried to politely let him know that after living here for almost 6 years… I’m pretty sure I know how my door opens! 🙃

I left frustrated and empty-handed 😤👐. After some online sleuthing 🖥️🔍 and phone calls 📞, I still haven’t found a door that works with the way my space is set up—it absolutely cannot open outward ❌. So now I’m brainstorming alternative ideas 💭🧠. If anyone out there has suggestions, I’m all ears! 👂💡

Back Home & In the Garden 🌸🌿🧱

Later this evening, I got outside to work on a new flower garden project 🌺🪴. Remember those two plants that “jumped” into my cart 🛒 on Saturday? Well, they need a home! 🏡

I decided to reconfigure the shape of my garden bed near the house so I could make room. While watering 💦, I moved the border bricks 🧱 and reshaped the bed into more of a rectangle—way easier to mow around too! 🪻🚜

My rose bush 🌹 has struggled since the harsh winter ❄️🌬️. It’s barely hanging on 😢, so I may move it to the opposite corner and plant my new flowers in its place 🌼. I haven’t quite figured it out yet… but that’s half the fun, right? 🎨🌿 For now, I just need to grab some fresh soil and keep playing with the layout! 🛒🪣

So Much Change… But That’s Life 💭✨

Between the classroom move 📦, the porch door dilemma 🚪😓, and my garden redesign 🌷, today felt like a whirlwind of transitions 🌪️. But I keep reminding myself: change is inevitable 🔄. Life would be pretty boring if everything stayed the same 💤.

Even if it feels hard, uncomfortable, or frustrating at first, sometimes change brings exactly what we didn’t know we needed 💖🌈.

Here’s to embracing the new—one storm door 🚪, flower bed 🌸, and job shift 🏫 at a time.
