Today was my check-up for my hearing aids, and thankfully everything went well! Greg—my trusty hearing aid guy—made a few minor tweaks to help cut down on background noise, which should make things a bit clearer for me in busy spaces. With that taken care of, I don’t need to see him again for about six months! 🎉
Afterward, I decided to treat myself to some much-needed retail therapy. First stop: Hobby Lobby! I wandered the aisles and found some fall-themed treasures to use for my wreath projects—one for the front door, and maybe one for the side door too. 🍂🍁
Then it was on to the Dollar Store and Michaels, where I scooped up T-shirts for a few crafty plans I’ve got brewing. I also popped into TJ Maxx to grab more of my favorite coffee syrup (can’t run out!) and a new stuffie for Bella, because I promised her a surprise—and I always deliver. 🐾

Once I got home, I was totally wiped from all the shopping and spent the afternoon relaxing. But the evening had a little twist… While slicing one of my homegrown tomatoes for a turkey burger, I managed to slice my finger instead. 😬
Garden Update: Farmer Julie’s Moment to Shine! 👩🌾🌱
Today’s garden haul made my heart happy. I harvested so many beautiful tomatoes—red, orange, yellow—all ripening in their own perfect way. And even better…
✨ FIVE little eggplants are on their way! 🍆
🌱 Another zucchini has popped up
🌱 My brand-new green bean seeds are already sprouting
🌱 The brussels sprouts are coming along wonderfully
🌱 More cucumbers and peppers are showing up, too!

And now… the best update of all…
The Big Kahuna—the largest tomato I’ve ever grown—was ready to be picked today! He’s HUGE and gorgeous, and after a little windowsill ripening, I’ll finally get to taste him. My new goal? Grow one even bigger next season!

I’m already thinking ahead to next year’s garden, and I definitely see an expansion in my future. Bigger beds, new veggies, and more reasons to get my hands dirty. 💪

Until next time, I’ll be soaking in these summer moments—with Bella by my side and dirt under my nails. 🐾🌞💚
