Happy Grillin’ Sunday! 🍗☀️

Today’s dinner was simple, fresh, and oh-so-satisfying! I marinated chicken breasts in “Olive Garden” dressing 🥗 and grilled them up to perfection 🔥. On the side, I steamed some bright green broccoli 🥦—light, healthy, and totally delicious! 😋

Before dinner, I spent some much-needed time out in my gardens 🧤🌱. I planted four new pots with bean seeds 🫘 and harvested a handful of tomatoes 🍅. They’ll ripen in the window alongside their sunny little friends ☀️—this trick helps the plants focus on producing even more fruit! Win-win! 🙌

I also took a stroll around my flower beds with my camera in hand 📸. Everything is blooming beautifully! 🌸🌼 I’m still (impatiently 😅) waiting for my Black-Eyed Susans to bloom. The ones in the front garden are always fashionably late—but there are tons of buds out there, just waiting for their moment to shine! 💛🌻

The rest of the day has been low-key 🛋️. Unfortunately, my stitches have been acting up again. Yesterday and this morning, I woke up to find some bloody stains on my PJs and bedding 😕🩸. The doctor said everything looked okay last week, and I’m already on antibiotics 💊—so I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve kept it covered today, so it hasn’t leaked through to my shirt. The good news? The pain has eased up quite a bit 🙏, which means I can at least get comfortable now and then. Tuesday can’t come soon enough—I’ll be SO relieved to get these stitches out! 😩🧵

Tomorrow, I’ll be taking my dad to his pre-op appointment for his upcoming knee replacement surgery 🦵🏼. We have to head into the city 🏙️ to the hospital for a series of tests and prep. It’s going to be a long day for him, but I’ll have my book bag packed 📚—it’s reading time for me in the waiting room! 📖🕰️
