Sizzling Sundays, Sweet Neighbors, and Garden Joy 🌞🌿

Another scorcher here in New York! 🥵 The heat and humidity have been relentless, but we made the most of it by finding ways to stay cool and comfortable 💦

I kicked off the morning by mowing the lawn before the sun turned the yard into a sauna ☀️🌱 I have to give a huge shoutout to my amazing neighbor who beat me to one part of the lawn yesterday—what a help! 🙌 We kind of have a little unspoken lawn-care tag team: I do their front lawn, and sometimes they surprise me by tackling part of mine 💚 I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again—I love my neighbors 🏡💛 It’s such a blessing to live in a community where everyone looks out for one another!

The afternoon was all about slowing down. Bella 🐾 and I claimed our spots in front of the fans—she’s no fool when it comes to staying cool! ❄️ I spent a good chunk of time happily reading and just soaking in the lazy Sunday vibes 📖🛋️

We did make it back outside later to grill dinner for Grillin’ Sunday! 🔥🍗 Nothing fancy today—just some plain grilled chicken paired with a homegrown zucchini 🥒 and fresh green beans from our garden 🌿 Bella and I both gave the meal two paws up! 😋🐶

Now for the part that made my garden-loving heart so happy… 💓 When we went out for our morning walk 🚶‍♀️, I spotted the first sprouts from the bean seeds I planted on Wednesday! 🌱✨ And by this evening, they already had their seed leaves! Watching those little green babies push up through the soil never gets old 🌞 I’ll be pulling the current bean plants in the next week or so—they’re just about tapped out—so I’m excited to replant more and keep the harvest going! 🫘💦

Grow babies! Grow!
Little green seedlings!🥰

Tomorrow’s plan? I’m thinking a little early morning baking session with some fresh blueberries 🫐👩‍🍳 Can’t let the summer pass without turning them into something delicious! 🍰😄 Stay tuned for that adventure!

Until next time—stay cool, friends! ❄️💛
