The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Whew! Today was brutally hot and humid 🥵🌡️ — the kind of heat that makes you feel like you’re melting just walking to the mailbox. Our time outside was very limited because it was just too hard to function in that heavy air. Bella 🐾 and I stuck close to the “Icey Cold Blowy Air Box” ❄️🌀 as she affectionately calls it. Thank goodness for AC and staying hydrated 💧🍹!

Despite the sweltering weather, I still managed to sneak in some creative time and worked on a few new candle ideas! 🕯️✨ I’m honestly really excited about how they’re coming along. AND — this is huge — I ordered some Pumpkin Spice 🎃 fragrance oil! You all know I’m a major pumpkin fan 😍🍁 so the fact that Fall is creeping closer has me absolutely giddy. I can’t wait to fill the house with that warm, cozy scent 🍂🧡!

Tonight’s garden check-in was short and sweet 🌙🌿 (because… heat 🥵), but still rewarding! I spotted cherry tomatoes 🍅 starting to ripen — eeeek! And the bean seeds 🫘 I planted just Wednesday are already sprouting! 🫛 Nature really doesn’t waste time sometimes. I also picked the two zucchinis that were hanging on out there — they didn’t get any bigger, but they’ll still be tasty 🥒. I added a handful of green beans to my collection too, so I think I’ve finally got enough for a nice little dinner tomorrow 🍽️. (Full disclosure: I may or may not have eaten the last batch raw 😅… they were just that good!)

Now it’s time to unwind 🛋️. I’m wiped out from the heat, and poor Bella is too 😴. We’re planning to snuggle up and call it an early night 🌙💤.
