The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Whew! Today was an absolute scorcher! It had to be close to 90° out there — and don’t even get me started on the humidity. 🥵 Bella and I attempted a walk at 5:30 AM (yes, AM!), thinking we’d beat the heat… but nope! It was already pushing 80°. So much for that bright idea. 😅

I did manage to sneak out to the garden before the sun fully made its entrance. 🌱☀️ I got a little pruning done and gave the plants a nice deep watering to help them survive the day without keeling over in the heat. Mission accomplished before 6 AM! ✅

After that? Yeah… absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch. Just reading 📚 in front of the fans 💨 and retreating to the AC-cooled bedroom ❄️ whenever we needed a break. Bella 🐾 has been extra snoogly in this heat — poor girl has been just as miserable as me. She’s been staying hydrated with lots of water 💧 and a few ice cubes 🧊 (her favorite treat on hot days!).

Dinner plans? Scrapped. I was going to grill some chicken 🍗 for meals this week, but considering I could barely breathe outside, that was a big nope. 🙅‍♀️ Instead, I treated myself to my favorite Chicken Souvlaki salad 🥗 — cool, refreshing, and way better than the thin-crust pizza 🍕 I was this close to ordering. Small victories, right? 😅

This is it — the final week of school! 🏫📆 It’s been a tough one, and I’m more than ready to trade the stress 😩 for some sunshine ☀️, books 📖, and relaxation 🛋️. Summer break is calling… and I am ready to answer! 🎉🌴
