Whew—what a day!
We were absolutely feeling the after-effects of the full moon in our classroom today. Between that lunar energy and the countdown to summer break (only 8 school days left!), the kiddos were on another level. Chaos doesn’t even begin to describe it! 😵💫

But the day took a beautiful turn as soon as I walked through the door and was greeted with some much-needed Bella snuggles. 🐾❤️ After decompressing for a minute, we headed out for a long walkie to reset. On our way back, one of my neighbors slowed his truck to stop and chat—he had a little heads-up for me…
He told me he had a new tenant!
Tucked in the flower bed between our houses was a tiny fawn, curled up and resting. He wanted to make sure I didn’t accidentally disturb her—especially since I’d planned to grill dinner and usually take Bella out there with me. So grateful for the heads-up, because I definitely would’ve startled her (and Bella probably would’ve lost her mind 😬).
So, I tiptoed out to the patio solo, fired up the grill, and settled in with my book. That sweet little fawn stayed nestled in the flower bed the whole time, just quietly watching me. She didn’t seem fazed by me at all—just peacefully soaking in the calm evening air. I made sure to stay quiet and respectful of her space, and in return, I got to witness something truly magical. ✨

Of course, I snapped a few photos and even a short video to share—because who wouldn’t want to see that kind of cuteness?
Nature has a beautiful way of reminding us to slow down and soak in the little moments. That tiny visitor turned a stressful day into a peaceful one, and made my happy place even happier. 🌸🦌🌿
