Midweek Garden Reflections šŸŒ±

Boy am I exhausted! It’s only Wednesday and it’s already been one of those weeks. You know the kind—busy, nonstop, and a little overwhelming. But tonight, I finally got a chance to slow down and spend some time in my happy place: the garden. šŸ’š

The weather has finally turned around the last couple of days, which has been a relief! We had some pretty intense storms roll through on Monday. While I could definitely do without the rain and mud (ugh), I have to admit—it did wonders for the garden! Everything looks refreshed and vibrant. I just came in from watering and doing a little inspection tour, and wow, what a difference!

🌿 I spotted my first tomato starting to form, and one of my peppers is now about the size of a nickel!

My first tomato

🄦 The Brussels sprouts (a first-time grow for me!) are looking pretty healthy so far.
šŸ„’ The cucumbers, green beans, and zucchini have finally decided it’s time to take off, and I couldn’t be happier watching them thrive.

Zucchini!

šŸ† The eggplant, though… not so much. I’m not sure what’s going on there, since I’ve never grown those before either. Definitely adding ā€œeggplant troubleshootingā€ to my research list this week.

Despite the chaos of the week, being out in the garden tonight filled my cup. There’s just something so peaceful and rewarding about seeing all the hard work begin to pay off. I’ve always adored my flower beds, but growing food? It’s on a whole different level of satisfaction. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you grew the food on your table.

For now, it’s time to rest, snuggle up with Bella, and recharge for whatever the rest of the week brings. šŸ¾šŸ’¤

Until next time,
— Julie
