The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Today was one of those super productive days that just feels good when your head hits the pillow 😴. I tackled a LONG to-do list, enjoyed the outdoors 🌳, and of course, celebrated the best part of the day—DONUTS! 😄🍩

The morning started with a nice long Walkie with Bella 🐶. The weather was perfect—cool, but not too cool 🌤️. It felt like the world was finally waking up with us 🌅. Bella had her nose to the ground, tail wagging the whole way 🐾.

After we got back, it was time to dive in 💪. First up: kitchen clean-up 🍽️ and tossing in a load of laundry 🧺. Then I was off to pick up our weekly groceries 🛒. Unfortunately, the Aldi trip came with a side of frustration 😤. I couldn’t find my coffee creamer ☕ and when I asked an employee if there were any in the back, she snapped, “Do you see any on the shelf? Then obviously we don’t have any.” 😳 She walked away before I could even blink. Let’s just say customer service was not her superpower 🚫👎.

Groceries put away ✅, it was time to conquer the yard 🌿. I mowed the lawn 🏡, weed-whacked, pulled weeds, and even did some rogue tree trimming ✂️🌳. There’s this city-owned tree across the street with odd branches growing straight out of the trunk—blocking the view for drivers 🚗. Since the city isn’t doing anything about it, I took matters into my own (clipper-wielding) hands! 💪😉

After a quick 15-minute recharge and a few chapters of my current book 📖, it was time for Bella’s surprise adventure! 🎉 I had promised her something special, and I meant it. We headed to the local college campus for an afternoon walk 🚶‍♀️🐕. It’s so peaceful there—almost like having our own private park 🍃. We soaked it in and practically had the place to ourselves 🧘‍♀️.

And what’s an adventure without a trip to the BOX?! 📦 Especially on National Donut Day! 🎊🍩 While we were there, we ran into a friend 👋, so Bella got to play social butterfly 🐶💖. She gave lots of kisses 😘 and soaked up all the scritches 👐 while sipping her ice water like the queen she is 👑💦. Such a diva 😉

When we got back home 🏠, I put the screens in the front windows 🪟 (finally!), knocked out a bit more cleaning 🧼, and even got around to a couple craft projects 🎨 I’ve had on my to-do list for way too long 📝.

Now, we’re winding down for the night 🌙. I thought about heading out to the patio to relax a little more, but there’s an air quality alert ⚠️🌫️. Since we were outside plenty today, we’re calling it good. Maybe tomorrow—once we check a few more things off that never-ending list 😅.
