The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Happy June, friends! 🎉 Can you believe it? Bella has officially started her yearly countdown until our summer vacation! 🐶⛱️💖

Unfortunately, it doesn’t feel like summer just yet. I think Mother Nature might be a little confused this year 😅. It’s been soooo chilly here in New York! 🥶 I tried to sit outside this afternoon to soak up a bit of sunshine ☀️, but the wind had other plans 🌬️. It was so strong that it made it too cold to stay out for long. Even Bella wasn’t a fan—the wind kept shaking our gazebo, and she gave it some serious side-eye 😂.

Despite the weather, our weekend has been filled with things we LOVE! 💕 Yesterday was a rainy day ☔, so I indulged in a little retail therapy 🛍️. Nothing cheers up a dreary day quite like a trip to the store for some crafting goodies 🎨✂️ and new coffee syrups! ☕🍯 I even found my favorite Salted Caramel syrup—so I grabbed a couple bottles (okay, maybe a few 😉). Once I got home, Bella and I did a bit of crafting and then curled up with my current book 📖. Bliss 🧶🐾📚.

This morning started with our usual walkie 🚶‍♀️🐕. And we had a magical surprise—a deer! 🦌 It was just standing there so calmly, watching us. We didn’t want to disturb it, so we took a quiet little detour 🌿. It looked so majestic in the morning light, and I managed to snap a photo! 📸

After breakfast 🍳, I got to work on some yard projects. The lawn is freshly mowed 🌱✂️, and I spent some time in my veggie garden 🥕🍅. I already have buds on my tomato and pepper plants—so exciting! 😀 I just love this season! Later, I did more crafting and started browsing for some new design ideas 💡🧵. I may or may not be building up a tiny crafting stash again… 😄

In the afternoon, I braved the chill to hang up string lights around our patio 💡🪴. They’re up for now, but between the wind and wobbling gazebo, we’ll see how long they stay put! I also tried putting the cushions out, but they kept flying around like tumbleweeds 🌬️🛋️. Back inside they went!

Dinner tonight was a switch-up from our usual Crockpot Sunday—it was Stirfry Sunday! 🍽️ I whipped up a delicious homemade chicken stirfry 🐔🥦 over cauliflower fried rice 🍚. Not only was it tasty, but I’ve got plenty of leftovers for lunches this week! ✅ I also prepped all my fruits and veggies 🍓🥒, so I’m feeling extra ready for whatever the week brings.

We ended our day with walk #3 🚶‍♀️🐾 and now Bella and I are curled up, ready to relax and watch some TV 📺🛋️. Here’s to a new week, warmer weather (please?! 🙏), and more everyday moments we love 💖.
