Whew—what. a. weekend! I honestly feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend 😅. Anyone else ever feel that way? Things have been non-stop around here, but the good news is—it’s finally starting to look like summer in my yard 🌸🌞!
The chaos kicked off Friday night when I decided (on a whim, of course) to move my hydrangea bush 🌿. It’s been growing like crazy over the past five years and had officially outgrown its little corner. Let me tell you, that thing was deeply rooted. It turned into a full-blown workout session 💪. But I got it done!

Then my brother came over to help with the annual gazebo setup 🛠️⛺—definitely not a one-person job. While I had him there, I recruited him to fix a piece of siding and help me move the grill onto the patio 🔧🔥. By the time all that was done, I was completely wiped out 🥱.

Saturday’s weather had other plans 🌧️. I managed to sneak in mowing before the skies opened up and it poured. So, the rest of the day turned into an indoor one—chores 🧹, crafting ✂️, and curling up with a good book 📚.

This morning I was up and outside by 8:30 ⏰, bundled up against the chilly air and ready to start garden prep 🧤. I mapped out where everything will go and figured out how many bags of soil I’ll need (spoiler alert: probably more than I think!) 🪴. I also weeded and prepped my front garden so it’s ready for mulch next weekend 🌼.

The afternoon brought more crafting ✨, some quality reading time 📖, and a long brisk walk with my favorite girl, Bella 🐾. I was planning to grill some chicken for dinner, but it’s just too darn cold 🥶—so into the oven it went, paired with roasted Brussels sprouts 🍗🥦. Yum!

Tonight, Bella and I are curling up 🛋️, catching up on some TV 📺, and soaking in some much-needed stillness. Here’s hoping the week ahead is a little calmer, a little slower, and maybe just a bit warmer! ✨
