The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Today had such a different vibe compared to last Sunday—this one was all about celebrating my amazing mom for Mother’s Day. 💐

I truly feel blessed to have the best mom. She’s not just my mother—she’s my closest confidant. ❤️ She’s been there through the highs, the lows, and every moment in between. Her advice is always spot-on, her hugs are healing, and her support is unwavering. The best part? She’s never judgmental, just full of love. 🤗

We celebrated her with a nice dinner 🍽️, and I brought her a beautiful hydrangea bush for her yard. Last week at the closing Mass at St. Anthony’s ⛪, she admired the one used for decoration, but when she and my dad went back to get one, they were already gone. So I knew hydrangeas would be the perfect gift. I also made her a personalized coffee mug ☕ with a photo I took of her and my dad at that final Mass. She absolutely loved her gifts—from Bella and me—and seeing her happy made me happy. 🩷

Before heading over for our celebration, I spent my morning doing a bit of crafting. 🎨 I’m working on an order for a couple of tumblers (can’t share yet—but stay tuned!). I also prepped some baked chicken for lunches this week 🍗 and will be adding veggies 🥦🥕 to keep things balanced and healthy.

But the most exciting part of my day? Garden prep! 🌱 I officially started my seeds for the season. I planted Roma tomatoes 🍅, cherry tomatoes, and tried something new: growing bell peppers from seeds I dried and saved from last summer’s garden. 🌶️ I’m not sure they’ll sprout, but it’s worth a try. If all goes well, I’ll have plenty of tomatoes for Sauce Day later this year! 🫙 I can’t wait to pull out my containers from the garage and get them ready for planting at the end of the month. I still need to figure out how much soil I’ll need—maybe a truckload delivery would be more economical? 🚛 If anyone has tips or experience with that, I’m all ears! 📝

Now Bella and I are winding down after a busy (but fulfilling) weekend. 🐾🛋️ Time to rest and recharge for the week ahead.
