The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Easter morning started bright and early in our house—well, more like dark and early! 🌙 Bella had me up at 4:30am, but truth be told, she wasn’t feeling the best 🤢 and had already been up at 2am. Poor baby. After a quiet, chilly walk in the pitch black of early morning 🚶‍♀️🐶, we both crashed on the couch for a few extra hours of rest 🛋️💤. Thankfully, she perked up and was feeling much better afterward!

Once we had some breakfast (and this momma had her COFFEE ☕), it was time for one of our favorite traditions—Bella’s Easter Egg Hunt! 🐰🥚 I started this little tradition five years ago when we celebrated our first Easter together, and it’s been a highlight every year since. I fill plastic eggs with her favorite small treats 🍬 and hide them all around the living room 🏠. Some are easy, others she really has to sniff out—but she finds them all and even opens them by herself! It’s seriously the cutest thing ever. I couldn’t help but share a video so you all can enjoy the adorable chaos! 📹✨

After her hunt, Bella helped me prep the sweet potatoes for Easter dinner 🍠👩‍🍳 (with a few taste tests along the way, of course 😉). We spent a relaxing morning together until it was time to head over to my parents’ house 🏡. Bella was SO excited to visit her cousin Bunny (my parents’ dog) 🐶 and wasted no time turning Grammie and Grampie’s house into a toy-strewn minefield 🤣🎾🧸. It was hysterical watching her pull out every toy and scatter them everywhere!

To top off the day, Bella got a special Easter dinner—mashed potatoes and steamed carrots! 🥔🥕 She was one happy pup. Now, we’re both totally worn out. She’s curled up, snoozing after a big day of fun 🐕💤, and I’m definitely feeling the lack of sleep from last night!

Tomorrow is our last day of Spring Break 2025, and we plan on soaking up every moment of it—preferably with some extra rest and a lot of snuggles! ☀️❤️
