Spring Break – Day 3: Sunshine, Closet Chaos & Carpet Catastrophes

Day 3 of Spring Break brought another dose of beautiful weather—yay! ☀️ Bella and I started the morning with our usual walk, soaking in the sunshine and fresh air. After that, it was time for some routine blood work to kick off my day (fun, right?) 🩺

Once I got home, I was ready for breakfast… but poor Bella’s tummy had other plans. Apparently, her breakfast didn’t sit well because she threw up five times—all over the white and teal carpet in my front porch. Of course it had to be the white and teal one! 🫣 So out came the carpet spot cleaner. Thankfully, she’s been feeling totally fine since then. Crisis cleaned up and a major “no more vomit, please” moment noted. 🙏

With that behind us, I tackled a long-overdue project: cleaning and organizing my closet. When I bought my house five years ago, I transformed one of the spare bedrooms into a walk-in closet—and honestly, it’s one of my favorite spaces! 👗✨ It still needs a bit more organizing (and I’d love to paint the walls eventually), but it’s a project in progress that I’m actually excited to finish one day.

This afternoon, we went on a long, lovely walking adventure. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. 🚶‍♀️🌸 I wanted to get out and do some yard work, but my lawn is basically a swamp right now. 🐸 So instead, we curled up with a new book and enjoyed the quiet time. 📚

Tomorrow, Bella has a spa day in the morning, and then we’ve got a few little home projects lined up. For now, it’s off to tackle the dinner dishes and wind down. 🍽️ Goodnight, friends!
