Happy Saturday!
Sorry for not writing this update last night—I got completely sucked into finishing my book and snuggles with Bella, and before we knew it, 10 PM had rolled around! 📖🐾

Yesterday was my audiologist follow-up, and wow, technology has come such a long way since my first pair of hearing aids 38 years ago. My audiologist, Greg, pulled up a screen that tracked every detail of my hearing aid usage over the last week. It even showed the noise levels I was exposed to minute by minute! 🤯 Turns out, my hearing aids were at 99% background noises most of the time, which explains why I’ve been feeling overwhelmed in certain situations.
One thing Greg emphasized was that while he can see the data, he isn’t me—only I can truly say what I need to hear and what adjustments will make life easier. That really stuck with me. He made some changes to help filter out “unnecessary” sounds, and we tested them right there in his office. What a difference! 🦻✨
The best part? He even created a special setting just for my walks with Bella to help cut down on wind noise! That little tweak alone is going to make such a huge impact on our daily adventures.
I left the appointment feeling incredibly grateful—not just for the advancements in hearing aid technology, but for professionals like Greg who genuinely listen and care about making life better. The real test, though? A trip to Walmart later! Let’s see how these adjustments hold up in the chaos of a Saturday grocery run. Stay tuned! 🛒🎧
