The Adventures of Julie and Bella 2025

Today was an absolutely frigid day here in Dunkirk! ❄️ We woke up to a bone-chilling 8 degrees, and that wasn’t even factoring in the wind chill. 🥶 Our usual morning adventure was cut short as poor Bella kept stopping to lift her paws off the icy ground—she was just too cold! 🐶❄️ We had to wait until midday for our walk when the sun finally peeked out and the temperatures became a bit more bearable. Even then, we had to stick to the roads since the sidewalks were buried under last night’s snowfall. 🌨️

Despite the frosty start, I had a much-needed hair appointment this morning. 💇‍♀️ I was relieved to make it out of the driveway, and wow, was it worth it! A fresh color and cut have me feeling like a brand-new person. ✨ It’s incredible how a little self-care can do wonders for your mood and confidence. 💕

The rest of the day was spent in full-on cozy mode—snuggling under a soft, warm blanket with a great book in hand. 📖🛋️ I’m truly soaking up this winter break; after the past couple of challenging months at work, this downtime is exactly what I needed. 😌❄️
