Today started off earlier than I’d like with a very early morning doctor’s appointment. I don’t know what possessed me to schedule it so early, but there I was, leaving my house at 6:45 AM to make it on time. The good news? The check-up went great!
Since I was already out, I made a quick stop at Walmart for a few essentials. Of course, I couldn’t resist browsing the holiday clearance section. I was thrilled to find a chocolate coffee gift set marked down to less than $4! It’s a perfect treat to help curb my sweet cravings without overindulging.

Once I got home, I settled in with my morning snack and enjoyed my book for a little while. But Bella had other plans—she decided it was time for a walk. Never mind that the temperature was frigid and the wind made it feel even worse! She insisted we go for five blocks. By the time we got back, I couldn’t feel my face. My eyes were watering so much they felt frozen! The rest of the afternoon was spent snuggling under blankets with Bella, trying to defrost.

On the bright side, I had a productive day staying on track with both my exercising and eating goals. My only struggle? Getting in all my water for the day. If you have any tips or tricks for increasing water intake, I’d love to hear them!

Here’s to staying warm, staying hydrated, and staying on track as this new year unfolds!
