Busy Days and Christmas Cheer

Today was one of those days where you blink, and suddenly it’s evening! With Christmas just around the corner, I spent most of the day cleaning and getting the house ready to host. It’s always such a whirlwind, but I like to break up the chores with a little reading. The trick? Let things “soak,” read a chapter (or two!), and then rinse and repeat—literally!

One of my favorite parts of the day was delivering Christmas goodie bags to my neighbors. There’s something so heartwarming about sharing homemade treats and spreading a little holiday cheer. It’s a small gesture, but it always seems to bring big smiles.

Later in the evening, Bella and I decided to take a festive drive to see the neighborhood Christmas lights. They never disappoint! We even made a stop at Tim Hortons (affectionately referred to as “the BOX”), where the lady at the window gave Bella an entire bag of Timbits. Can you believe it? 😱 Of course, I tucked them away in a container—she’ll enjoy them in moderation because the last thing we need is a tummy ache!

Our  Christmas lights!
Our favorite house. It plays to music!

Now, we’re winding down for the night. Bella’s snuggled up, and I’m ready to relax after such a busy day. Here’s hoping tomorrow is a little less hectic—but equally joyful!
