Wow, what a week it has been here in New York State! Living about 45-60 minutes south of Buffalo means we’re no strangers to snow, but this lake-effect storm hit us hard❄️☃️. It’s been snowing nonstop since Friday morning around 9 a.m., and my yard is now buried under close to 4 feet of snow. 😳Keeping up with clearing the driveway has been a full-time job, and of course, my snow blower decided to give up on me today. Thankfully, my amazing neighbor came to the rescue with his four-wheeler and plow.🙏

Walking Bella has been another challenge altogether. None of the sidewalks are cleared, so we’ve had to brave the roads in whiteout conditions. It’s scary and not ideal, but we’re making the best of it. Bella’s been a trooper, though, and we’ve managed to get through our walks safely.🐾

Being snowed in did have one perk—we got the house decorated for Christmas!🎄 There’s something about twinkling lights and festive decor that makes the snowy chaos outside feel a little more manageable. It’s cozy and cheerful, and Bella seems to love lounging in the glow of the Christmas tree.🎄🐾

For today’s Crockpot Sunday, I whipped up a warm and comforting chicken noodle soup. Let me tell you, after hours of shoveling, it hit the spot. There’s nothing quite like a bowl of homemade soup to warm you up from the inside out.🥣

The cherry on top of this week’s madness? I just found out I have a snow day tomorrow! No treacherous drive to work for me—I can stay home, sip my coffee☕️, and enjoy a much-needed break. Bella and I are also planning to stay up late to watch the Buffalo Bills❤️🤍💙🏈 play Sunday Night Football. Fingers crossed for a win to cap off this wild weekend!

Now, if only this snow would stop falling! Here’s hoping for a quieter week ahead. Stay safe and warm out there, friends!☃️
